This little blurb was printed in the Buzz section of the October 2009 issue (#159) of the UK's
Total Film magazine. It's certainly great that
Remember Me is starting to get some attention!

Robert Pattinson will make you cry. And not because he's such a dreamboat. The Twilight star's latest project, currently shooting in New York, is Remember Me, a romantic drama about two people whose burgeoning romance is hampered by family tragedy. Apparently the film's been described as this generation's Love Story. Is that a good thing? We weren't sure. Rob cleared it up for us: "It isn't anything like Love Story. It's really a relationship story. It's very natural and the characters are incredibly real." The screenplay is written by Jenny 'daughter of Sidney' Lumet, who also penned the exceptional Rachel Getting Married, with Allan Coulter (Hollywoodland) set to direct and Pierce Brosnan and Lost's Emilie de Ravin co-starring.
"The character in the script is quite similar to me," Pattinson explains. "You can only play yourself in a role every 15 years I think. And you can only do it if the script captures you properly. It's really therapeutic, actually." We're glad Rob's getting some breaks then, especially after getting clipped by a taxi while trying to escape a horde of screaming girls. It's a tough life. RF
