Our Remember Me Reviews

Back when Remember Me was released in the theaters, I had asked the readers of this site to send me their reviews. In anticipation of the DVD release just 11 short days away, the reviews will be posted here, one a day. So enjoy reading the opinions of other film goers about Remember Me!

Remember Me is a stunning emotional roller-coaster that will reduce you to tears and leave you in awe of the astonishing characters. Set in – what seems to be – modern day New York, the film successfully renders the dangers of the streets as well as the everyday hardships of life which we can all relate to. Ending with a surprise bang that nobody could possibly anticipate, audiences will not only be tearing up, but also left with their jaws dropped in amazement and surprise. Remember Me is a poignant story which is complimented by amazing actors and actresses. It has an amazing storyline and a great moral out-reach; live in the moments – [because tomorrow may never come].
I think this movie deserves 4 stars.

"Why I am Excited" for the Remember Me DVD

More reasons why we are excited for the Remember Me DVD!

Alright, I'll admit I'm a huge RPattz fan, but when it comes to the movie RM itself, it's just so amazing! The emotions and backgrounds of the characters are so realistic....you really feel for them. And ever since I read the script late last year (before the movie came out in March) I've been somewhat obsessed with learning more about 9/11. I was young when the attack happened, and didn't understand pretty much anything about it. I was truly unaffected by it, but now that I'm older, I have so many more feelings towards what happen that day...RM showed me how tragic that day really was, and it made me have such a different perspective on life itself. Will Fetters wrote the most beautiful script, and I still cry every time I read it. The words at the end (in the script, not the movie) when Tyler's talking about how much we should appreciate life completely woke me up and made me start being a better person. I've never been so affected by a movie before, but RM is truly special. That is why I'm excited for the DVD release.
~Lauren

I am excited for the release because I love this movie. Ever since I saw it opening night I have not been able to get it out of my head. I saw it three times in the theater and it's not NEARLY enough. I want my own copy to honor those who died on 9/11 and to give the finger to the haters who have no right to complain about the ending. I am a RPattz fan and I want to have this movie to show him support. The music is haunting and beautiful and I want it for my collection. Basically, if it's anything to do with RM, I want it!
~Molly

I would like to win the copy of Remember Me because the movie is pure inspiring.
Usually after I watch a film with someone, I like to recap it with my favorite moments and thoughts about the characters. After viewing it for the first time, I drove home in complete silence.
Sitting in the theater, watching the movie for the first time, I balled my eyes out. The second time, I thought about my own life and how its too short to mess around with being scared, and I balled my eyes out. The third time, I thought about relationships and balled my eyes out.
Since then, I've been laughing more and generally enjoying life more.
Besides the obvious fact that Rob Pattinson is a freaking sex god, his performance in the movie was jaw dropping.
Remember Me is one of the best films I've ever seen in my entire life, and I'm not that old (22).
~Nichole

I have recommended it to all my friends and family and getting the DVD will help me spread the word around about Robert's excellent performance in this movie.
~Jessica

LA Times Ministry of Gossip Spills some Commentary Quotes

In a little more than two weeks from now, some of us will be watching our own DVD or Blu-ray version of Remember Me. In addition to being able to see the film whenever we want, we are also looking forward to the two commentaries that will be included as extras on the DVD. One commentary will be by director Allen Coulter and will sure to be filled with many interesting comments about what went into filming Remember Me and the significance of many aspects of the film that have been noted.

The second commentary includes thoughts by Rob, Emilie and Pierce. The LA Times' Ministry of Gossip revealed some of Rob's comments today, and they are priceless!

Exclusive: Robert Pattinson's pornographic poetry (and other gems from the 'Remember Me' DVD)
by Matt Donnelly

While Robert Pattinson spends his June promoting "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse," Summit Entertainment is working its cross-pollination magic by pushing "Remember Me" out on DVD.

Due June 22, the romantic drama starring Pattinson and "Lost" blond Emilie de Ravin touts a major bonus feature -- a cast commentary track in which the heartthrob drops serious pearls about his filming experience.

Taking the lead for our favorite factoid: Pattinson's dirty journaling. Playing the broody Tyler, the actor spent most of the film scrawling mysteriously in a leather-bound notebook. "On set I kept on going up to Rob and saying, 'You've got to write in your journal, mate,'" producer Nick Osbourne said.

Said Pattinson: "I remember writing all these kind of pornographic poems, whenever there was a close-up on it. Horrible, horrible things in bold capital letters."

We can only hope a man from Nantucket was involved.

Other amazing insights into Rob's soul include ...
