In addition to going over to see Caroline after the hair cutting incident, did Ally also go over to forgive Tyler?

Absolutely. Seeing Caroline was a good, valid reason to go anywhere near him, but it was absolutely the other part of why she went.

Jen L....I think she went also to see Tyler, but more to hear him out, as she hadn't given him a chance before. Also, Aiden had advocated for him so that was another reason.
Ready to forgive? If she thought Tyler had really used her in that underhanded way, it might take a little more time than had gone by between the Labour Day weekend--when she found out--and after the hair-cutting incident. If you think someone has really used you that way it would take more time, I think. However, I think that she probably thought Tyler had NOT meant to hurt her--and his 'crime' wasn't so great--and so she was ready.

@jessegirl, ITA. She needed to hear him out, to give him a chance of explaining. After all, she rushed away from him when he told her the truth, but we also know they were very much in love and even though she was indignant and in a rage, she still must have felt love for him. With a little time, even a few hours afterwards, she must have remembered his expressions, his voice, and begun to think that maybe not everything about him was bad and that there must be something good there too and things she did not know and needed to know. Plus, she must have remembered all the lovely moments together with Tyler and that's a lot to consider. She can't have fallen out of love with him so quickly. So, I guess she went there thinking she was ready to listen to his explanations. She might have grilled Aidan on the way too. Aidan's "he loves you" does seem to make her relent, so that's a good clue that Ally's feelings are still there. How could they have just vanished? we know it's impossible. But that does not exclude her anger of course. And I would also add that maybe she went there with a glimmer of hope, even if it was unconscious - how could we not hope for some kind of solution in such a situation and hope love will still be there? (yeah I know I'm being sentimental! :)) So I believe she also went there with a little hope and a little glimmer of hope in her heart, and I believe that her heart jumped a little when she saw him, just as his jumped at the sight of her. :))Yes, I know, I know, I love love stories.

Rum, you're not being sentimental. That kind of hope is part of the vital foundation of love. You'veadded lots of good thing here.
I never thought the loving feelings could have just vanished. But I know real forgiveness is not easy. Yes, their hearts 'jumped' at the sight of each other. And more.

Yes, I think so. Unconciously or not, her intend was to see him again, to talk to him. She loves Tyler and when you love someone that way it is only a question of time. Ally is emotionally stronger than Tyler and she was right to get upset but when Aidan clarifies everything and assumes the guilt, it appears a possibility for her to give a new chance to Tyler.

@jessegirl, sure, real forgiveness takes a lot of time...

Yes, she did because the minute Aiden told her that Taylor was in love with her she stopped to listen to what he had to say. He told her “He had only seen him look at one other girl the way he looks at you whose a lot shorter and shares his DNA and just forgive him.” So I think she went to be supportive of Caroline and to be with his family and to hear him out…She knows that Aiden was the one who thought up the scheme to begin with however, in time she and Tyler fell in love with each other and I don’t think she wanted to lose him without talking this out. I think she knew that Tyler loved her as he did tell her after their first night together he had gone to write to Michael because he needed to tell someone about her.
