That was such a lovely, funny, tender line, it was kind of awkward - he's just been turned down by Ally when he tried to kiss her, remember - and you can feel Tyler's a bit miffed about it. Hurt male pride. The stupid idea of Aidan's bet is so completely forgotten here, it's just him wanting this girl and trying to find a way to convince her. Also - I've already said this somewhere else I think - but has anyone ever noticed that after Ally puts the panda in car, she briefly kisses it? Lol, that was so funny. She kisses the panda and not Tyler. Maybe he even noticed the kiss although she doesn't know he did. Maybe that's why he says this about her leaving with an unknown panda. He's thinking - I've seen her, she's just kissed the panda, but now she won't kiss me... :))

It is so sweet the way Rob/Tyler says these words to Emilie/Ally. It is very smart of him to take advantage of her theory about the dessert to ask her a kiss and he uses the panda as if it was a rival, what makes the whole situation funny and adorable. It reminded Javier Bardem/Juan Antonio in "Vicky Cristina Barcelona" at the scene of the restaurant when he invites Rebecca Hall/Vicky and Scarlett Johansson/Cristina, to make love with him. I compare the scenes of these two films because I think they are both terrific, extremely sexy and Rob/Tyler and Javier Bardem/Juan are both stunning. What could be more irresistible to a woman than a smart and classy request of interesting and charming men like them?

Yeah, Tyler is trying to cash in on her dessert first philosophy, and actually, given the ending of the movie, it is very significant. But, important as ‘carpe diem’ might be, many things in life still need their time to mature, or to grow. Trust, for one thing.
Rum, I’ve got to look for that little panda kiss next time I see the film! She might kiss the panda, but that also shows that she likes Tyler, because he went to so much trouble to get it for her. She’s kissing his gift to her. To me, that means something. But, yeah, Tyler wants his good night kiss. There he is, hanging his gorgeous head in mock despondency, and she caresses his jaw—gah—turns his head and kisses him. Role reversal.
And damn, ‘driving off into the unknown NYC night’, sounds like a great rational for seizing the day, er, night. Ironically, while Tyler is actually seizing the bright blue NYC day, he dies. Big irony.

I'm of the opinion that they invented the global superstar category for him. He even looked good with that Jacob cut, but Tyler looks better, IMO.
